Description
Produced at Quinta do Tamariz, in the Vinhos Verdes Demarcated Region (Sub-region of Cávado), Loureiro Escolha 2023 is a monovarietal white wine made entirely from Loureiro grapes. With a production of 14,000 bottles, this wine reflects both the terroir of granitic soils and the estate’s commitment to balance and freshness.
The 2023 vintage was marked by a mild summer, free from extreme heat waves, which allowed the grapes to retain high acidity and remarkable freshness. Harvest took place at the end of August, ensuring optimal ripeness.
Vinification was carried out with whole grapes (100%), fermented at 14–16ºC for 30 days, without malolactic fermentation, to preserve the grape’s natural aromatic intensity and mineral expression.
