Description

Pet Nat Loureiro 2022 is the second edition of Quinta do Tamariz’s pétillant naturel, produced in the Vinhos Verdes Demarcated Region (Sub-region of Cávado). Inspired by traditional winemaking methods used by previous generations of the Borges Vinagre family, this wine embraces a low-intervention philosophy, crafted with no added sulfites and no filtration.

The choice of Loureiro was natural — a grape cherished at Quinta do Tamariz, known for its aromatic freshness and versatility. The estate was also the first to launch a monovarietal Loureiro on the market, underscoring its long-standing belief in the grape’s potential.

Made using the ancestral method, the wine was bottled before fermentation finished, allowing it to complete fermentation in the bottle with fine lees. This natural process gives it its signature cloudy appearance, vibrant freshness, and authentic character. Production was limited to 3,000 bottles.
